Teen beheaded in an apartment in M'sia

Pasir Gudang (The Star/ANN) - A jobless teenager was found beheaded in his apartment in Bandar Seri Alam, Malaysia, Friday afternoon.

The victim, identified only as Surendra, 19, was living alone in the unit in Vista apartment. He also had slash wounds on his body.

Seri Alam police department chief Supt Roslan Zainuddin said neighbours living on the same floor heard a commotion and later found Surendra's body in the living room.

"He had been beheaded and the police believe that a sharp weapon was used," he said, adding that no weapon was recovered at the scene.

Supt Roslan said police were investigating the motive of the gruesome murder but declined to elaborate.

He said the body was sent to the Sultan Ismail Hospital for a post-mortem.

He urged those with information to call the police hotline at 07-221 2999 or lodge a report at the nearest police station.
